It seems like the tutu has left the dance studios and catwalks to hit the streets. Now, I am not sure how comfortable I would be waiting for the bus in a tutu. This been said some of the following girls have really pulled it off.

If you are not too sure about the âgirlyâ look, here are a few alternatives that I really like. Either pair your textured pink/white skirt with a pair of combat ankle boots like Karla, or go for a black or blue tulle skirt like Camille. (who said tulle had to be pink?)

Letâs talk feathers. Topshop, Zara and Asos have all come up with some nice and playful looking feather skirts. Most have adopted the look in back, but I must admit that topshopâs skirt in a grey/purple colour is pretty cute (seen here on Betty).

Finally, we have the fringed skirt. We discovered them over the summer but they are still being worn with jumpers and tights. Not one of my favorite types of skirts, but I actually like the way this french girl wears hers.

Have a great day!
Iâm still not sure about the bustier (or corset) over a T-shirt but when itâs done with a dress I really do think it works well. It make a bustier dress less serious and that much more youthful.

Love this outfit, I have the old version of this dress, i.e. in cotton not in leather and I think it look great with a short or long T-shirt under it wit a statement necklace.

Itâs that period in the year soon, were it is almost compulsory to be wearing something short, sparkly and pretty. I might have found an alternative to all the sequins and sparkles, but that still says âHappy New yearâ; the cage dress from Asos, seen here on Rachel Bilson.

So, What do you think of this dress as a New year eyeâs outfit?
