I have always admired girls that could pull of doc Matens boots without going down the whole grunge road. Even more so, when these girls pulls off the look and make these leather boots girlie by pairing them with skirt, dresses, dotted tights or anything else remotely girlish. For the time being I will stick with my biker boots but maybe one day I will give this look a go. What do ou think about these boots? Can you pull it off without going the whole mile?

So here is one trend that I will more often than not associate to bad things, very bad and tacky things. However, this being said, it is also one of those trends that when pulled off to perfection can look so damn right. And if I am completely honest with all of you, I get very envious of people when them pull of the white jeans look, because it ends up looking so clean and modern and well put together.

I hope everyone had a great weekend (and that all my American readers had a fantastic 4th July). Mine was spent collection the new car as a drunk driver completely destroyed my old one, hopefully no one was in the car that much I can be grateful for. It was also spent visiting the gorgeous city of Bruges (in Belgium). As I have been accepted to study at the College of Europe, I will be spending all of next year doing a masters in diplomacy and European external relations which is my other passion. However, I ended up spending most of my time sweet shop hopping (which seems to have become my new own personal sport) instead of really visiting the city. I will share the pictures with you tomorrow.

The FAA H&M collection was a huge success and the next day all over the fashion blogs, fashionistas were sharing with their readers their favourites picks and the items they had gotten their hands on. I was really looking forward to seing all of these colourful pieces worn differently. I was kind of disappointed as I don’t feel like I came across as many outfits inspired by the FAA collection as I had hoped. Here is a trend that started way back in winter 2009 and is still very much present, especially with the fashion bloggers. Cargo green trousers have been seen sported everywhere and have been given a very feminin touch and so has the dull grey ’sweat pant’. Indeed, trousers seem to be lately either printed, or cargo green and soft grey. I am glad to say I own a pair of both! What are your go to trousers this season?

As a child I never wore a coat, this was one of the ongoing battle between me and my parents. And this seems to have stuck with me over the years. I never liked wearing coats and the whole hassel of carrying them around and most of the time I simply couldn’t find a coat that I felt worked well with my outfit. However, recently I have discovered, not only the joys of being warm (hum hum) but also how a simple statement coat/blazer jacket can really pull an outfit together. So as summer start, I find myself with a useless new obsession; coats and outerwear. As I have said time after time, trends are just not for me I can never seem to follow them in time.

Anyway I thought I would share with you two types of outerwear I am really loving right now, to change things up a bit as I have been obsession over trench coats for too long. I am really liking the whole cropped fur jacket which really does change an outfit from boring to exciting and I am loving the whole gold blazer look which for me it the perfect outerwear fro summer. It looks great worn as a casual day time look and is perfect to throw over any evening look. I actually have this gold blazer worn here and dressed down a while ago. Funnily I found it in a thrift shop and then all of a sudden it poped up in all the H&Ms.

Inspiration comes mostly from others not from ourself, and anyone who tells you they are never inspired by others is probably not being completely honest with you. Why am I telling you this, because this was partly the reason why I started this blog, so many of you, yes you out there, inspired me in one way or another or just simple gave me a good idea at some point. And you have to believe me when I told ou that every picture that I ever spend more han 5 seconds looking is saved in Iphoto. Wich brings me to today’s post and title. When I was looking through my collection of ‘inspiration pictures’ I came across these two, I just think it is great that two ladies living in different parts of the world managed to get up one morning and dress almost identical. You have got to love the blogosphere for this.

On a trend subject, it looks like peach/pink is the colour to go to this Summer in terms of jackets. I am still not quite sure what I would look like wearing peach but I think it might soon be time to find out as I am increasingly loving this trend.

Well this post and this trend will not come as a surprise to most of you, yes clogs are back and it looks like they are here to stay throughout the summer. I have been looking for a while now for m perfect clog and boy did I look (you might remember this post). For a long time I hesitated to buy the JC clog which was a almost replica of the Chanel ones but I like to have my feet strapped in for some reason Then I received the JS Dany’s but the platform at the front is just too much for my daytime routines and then I came across these lovely Zara sandal/wedges. In my view they are the perfect clogs for this summer especially when paired with rolled up jeans like most of these gorgeous ladies have done. I love the fact that Zara has taken the old clog and made it modern. I am seriously loving them and are currently on my ‘to buy now and desperately need, no matter what any one else says’ list. What are you guys clogging in this summer?

The long vest like dress is the perfect substitue for trousers and shorts skirts! Sick of wearing leggings and trousers but not quite ready to bare our legs in short dresses and shorts. Indeed the long dress is the perfect solution and it looks like the H&M vest  like dress for a mere 9,99£ is the bloggers favorite ‘go to’ dress. If you remember I wore mine a while back layered with a cardigan and my leather jacket. I quite like the black stripped version too though! These are the perfect dresses to layer and play around with accessories like these girls have done, more or less anything goes; hats, scarves, necklaces, belts… One thing every girl here agreed on you need killer heels tu pull this look off and a leather jacket seems to be the favourite layering.

So cats from different countries might ‘meaouw’ differently but one thing in the blogosphere is now consistent when you see a ‘meaouw’, more often than not, it is now associated to Miu Miu’s latest collection. One collection that the bloggers have being going mad about, the platform satin shoes, the collars, the broches and most of all the kitty and swallow print. One Miu Miu inspired dress that I have been seing lately on every street corner (quite literally) is the Zara cat print dress. More over, after meeting the lovely jen from StyleCrusader sporting this cute little piece I knew then and there what my next trend post was going to be.

Three accessories (or ways to wear this dress if you wish) really caught my eye. Firstly, I love the idea of wearing stripes with this dress, either under when the weather is, well crap british weather that is very undecided like Jen or over in the form of a cardigan like Mel. I really like the idea of mixing prints and it is one hot trend for the summer. Secondly, wearing the dress with clogs seems to work for the girls and if definitely works for me. Indeed, why not work two trends at the same time, like Jen (yes her again, no I am not obsessed), Iris and Emily. Plus it really gives the dress a certain extra charm. Thirdly, a smile is the best accessory of them all. This dress screams ‘please don’t take me too seriously’ even more so when paired with clogs and mixing prints, so no frowning ladies! Well, I’m off to go and cry outside my zara as they don’t sell this cute little piece anymore and I’m stuck on campus for the newt two weeks to study for my exams.

The H&M striped waterfall jacket was picked up by many bloggers. Indeed it looks like stripes will be following us into summer to. However, this jacket was a nice variation of the striped trend and was a bit more modern than the Zara jacket many of you have also been sporting.

I tried on the leather Zara black clogs today and quite liked them, they are more sober than my current Dany platforms which is an understatement. I really want a nice pair of wooden sandals preferably with black leather and this were pretty much perfection. Sorry for the lack of activity, this was due to a couple of reasons. Firstly, lack of internet and secondly, I have so much to do. I have a lot planned for today and I will post very shortly a couple of outfit posts. Have a great weekend!!

I was pretty excited to sit back, and wait a while, to see just what the creative ladies of the blogosphere were going to do with H&M’s long awaited Garden Collection. As always, it was not disappointing, they each styled the most wanted pieces in heir own individual and personal ways. It definitely looks like, the red rose jacket was one of the most successful pieces, along with the fan and rose dresses.

But this collection was not all about the pretty dresses, the other pieces especially the floral leggings, skirts and brown shorts worked great as transitional looks. And, then of course they were the endless choice of floral dresses in all sizes, forms and textures to chose from, but chose is one thing this ladies didn’t do. They seemed to have all gone home with at least two or three pieces of this near perfect collection.

Sadly for me I didn’t get my hands of the red rose dress I was longing for, but I did pick up the nude fan dress, and the floral ruffle dress which I am pretty happy with, and thanks to the lovely  Ela I now have the chunky colourful necklace too. I will try and post some pictures soon, but the boyfriend has deserted me to go and sit under the sun in Cannes and thus leaving me with a remote and a tripod. A whole new experience for me!

Here is a trend I have grown to be really found of, just because it represent perfectly what fashion is all about. It’s not about what’s in and out (okay maybe  a little) and it’s not about following someone’s rules. It is much simpler than that, indeed it is about having fun with what you have, it’s about representing on the outside what you feel inside, and more importantly it’s about having fun. What better way than to simply mix and match colourful prints and what a great way to transition from the winter prints we have been wearing (i.e. stripes, stripes and more stripes) into the summer ones we can’t just quite wear yet.

One blogger who don’t shy away from bright colours and bold prints, and who sure plays the game of Mix and Match well, isSusanna (aka Susie Bubble (as seen above)). Love her for stepping out of  ’conventional fashion’ and creating such jaw dropping outfits!!

What do these beauties have in common you might ask? Well in case you havent spotted the large chunk of equally gorgeous wood dangling of their feet, it’s the blogged famous Dany shoes by JS. I don’t know what it is with them, but I have found my self very attracted to them and pondering just how I might be able to balance myself on a pair of these beauties. These are not normally the kind of heels i gravitate towards (admire the choice of words) but hey f they look good and the catwalk, look great on these girls why can’t they look just as good on me? And god know I could uses the extra inches that comes with them. Well I have looked and searched for someone to deliver these over to our little Island but with no such luck…until… Bakershoes who have kindly offered my desperate self a pair of silver Dany platforms and will ship them to the UK!

Now all I have to do is be patient (I think I’m capable of such a thing) and start practicing walking on stilts. Then again, if I can’t walk in them, I hope I can at least look this good twirling around in my office chair. That will do!

This looks especially good in dark blue/black and white, I can just imagine this paired with a green cardo oversized shirt. I also love the fact that it looks great paired with stripes, perfect transition look from the stripes to the dots.

Here is another one of these things we saw our mothers wearing and swore we would never wear ourselves: i am speaking about none other than the bodysuit. And how were we wrong, very wrong indeed, the bodysuit is back, however this time around it is being paired with loose trousers, high waist jeans and full skirt and not leg warmers. Making the body look very modern and sleek. On tomorrow’s photo shot simple nude and black bodysuits will be our key items so I though this was the perfect time to post my bodysuit looks.
