A couple of weeks ago I decided to do some virtual window shopping over at SpanishMossVintage and it wasn’t long before I was adding items into my, also virtual, shopping cart. They really have some amazing stuff but one item really caught my eye and my little session of innocent window shopping become a serious and very real shopping spree. I needed their stunning and very hot “peek-a-boo, mesh cut-out dress”. So, after a few secondes of “ohh god I hope they have my size”, followed by a joyful sigh of relief because they did indeed have the now ‘dream dress’ in my size, it was in my virtual shopping bag and ready to be paid and shipped. And here it is, I spent a wonderful night out and about in London in this simple yet cheeky black dress. What better, after a hard days work.

And of course worn best with a hat, and so much more fun! The right shoes fro this dress was my biggest problem, I wore it a pair of simple black low ankle boots from Zara, but I wanted something more chunky and I finished the evening or early morning to be more exact in a pair of black Converse ‘chucks’. What kind of shoes would you wear this dress with?

I Hope you all had a great weekend, I had an extremely hectic and busy one. My first day as a stylist on Friday was more stressful but also, and more importantly, more fun than expected. Now we just have to wait and hope the result is as god as the day itself. I am also preparing the big 100th post give away, so stay tuned for this and keep your eyes pealed. I didn’t have the time to do a new outfit post but here is one I took a couple of weeks ago.

Here is another one of these things we saw our mothers wearing and swore we would never wear ourselves: i am speaking about none other than the bodysuit. And how were we wrong, very wrong indeed, the bodysuit is back, however this time around it is being paired with loose trousers, high waist jeans and full skirt and not leg warmers. Making the body look very modern and sleek. On tomorrow’s photo shot simple nude and black bodysuits will be our key items so I though this was the perfect time to post my bodysuit looks.

I wouldn’t scream ’spring’s arrival’ just yet, however it does look like Spring is finally just around the corner. Not quite a spring outfit just yet but still something worth sharing. Thank you so much for all your lovely comments about my previous DI you have motivated me to start doing more DIY or my own, let’s see if this actually happens. For some more fun news, I will be styling my very first shoot on Friday so please wish me luck. I will do my best, that is if I am not too busy running around like a headless chicken, to document the day and take a few pictures

I am not quite sure what I am suppose to do, but I do know I have to share seven things with my readers. It has been a very long time since I have posted a DIY article, so I though this would be a great opportunity to show you, my first, actually and probably last for quite some time, DIY. I came across Ashley Madekwe’s blog a month or so ago and particularly loved this outfit on her, but more specifically I found myself drooling over her jacket. I really liked the idea of mixing silver and gold studs, more so the fact that she had studded the jacket herself motivated me to try it out myself. Little did I know, studs are real little buggers! Yes, I am very aware that studs are ‘very two seasons ago’ but I couldn’t care less, plus I don’t have anything studded. So I ordered myself a nice big pack of pyramid studs from the ‘retired punk’ (ebay seller) and waited for them to arrive. Once they did I got straight to work on my jacket, except wait I don’t have any of the tools necessary. I knew that if I didn’t start now I never would.  I used various techniques to put the studs on, i.e. knifes, scissors and anything else i could get my little pores on, but none worked better than my teeth :/

So that is the last time I am  doing a DIY involving 175 very small studs, but nevertheless I am very found of my new studded jacket and it was worth every single scrape and scratch. It’s not really an outfit post, just pictures of a very proud owner and her new studded jacket, now minus all the scrapes and scratches

There is something so paradoxal, and yet so comforting about watching some of the most beautiful collections on absolutely drop dead gorgeous women from the comfort of one bed. I love this idea of drooling over beads, tulle, floral silk, furs whilst still being in my pijamas. It simply just makes me smile. Anyway here are my top three and I must say Diane’s latest collection about “a man in a woman’s body: smile, seduce, be proud to be you” completely did it for me. I love the idea of frilly, pretty and layered dresses/skirts under very tailored and manly jackets, paired with ridiculous accessories and killer heels.

I really am not quite sure what put me off this collection or the previous one, or even the Jimmy Choo collection for that matter. I don’t know if it was all the sneak peaks and the talks surrounding the unveiling of the collections, or if it was the idea of queuing up for hours to end up having something that thousands of other women will have or if it was the collections themselves that simply didn’t attract me. But this suffise to say that I did no queuing, and own nothing from these collection,however I must say that every time I did end up feeling like I missed out and could have found something I really would have liked. Anyway, I was curious to see what the courage fashion bloggers, those who did stand in line for hours in the hopes of snagging that one special item they were lusting over, actually brought and what they did with they Sonia Rykiel x H&M garments. I brought this jumpsuit some time ago now and it has been at the bottom of my wardrobe ever since, I attempted to wear it a couple of time but it was a failed attempt every time, either the shoes were not right of the length was just off. Anyway I ended up wearing it one night, pairing it with high heels and rolling up the bottoms and I really liked it. I wore it here during the day with a jumper thrown on top and I quite like the result. even though the sun graced us with its presence it was no were near warm enough to take pictures without the jumper, so I will leave that for another post. Word of advice, if you do end up wearing a jumpsuit to a party, be advised not to spend to much time at the bar and visiting the bathroom ends up being a real expedition with one of these things!

Just a quick outfit post and a casual one at that. I thought I ought to talk to you too about a relatively new online fashion magazine and website that is quite interesting. It’s called Hypeed and it gives you the opportunity to feature and be part of their fashion magazine ‘fashion by real people’. The way your participate is by contributing three or more pictures to a specific trend, then readers and other members have the opportunity to vote for you. Then they feature the top contributors in their online magazine, the concept is fun and the website is really nicely done.

So I spoke some time back about how well my first order over at yesstyle.com had gone. Well my second order, yes yes there was a second order, went as well as the first. I know a lot of you are not at ease about buying online but I really do recommend you try Yesstyle, not only are the prices pretty cheap as everything is in USD (for us Europeans this means cheap deals) but the costumer service and the delivery is flawless. I looked so happy that the Boyfriend decided to take a few snapshots, so I thought I would share with you my latest new additions to, my already overflowings, closets.

What I brought: Fleece-lined hooded jacket, Turtleneck knit, and lace hem slipdress

They are, without a doubt, the best and the most popular ‘go to’ item when you have no clue what to wear. Sported by most nordic girls as a recurrent trend, mostly worn in black (cotton or leather) but also in animal prints and several other unique patterns. Now, adopted by many as a basic item to any outfit, worn just as trousers and paired with oversized jumpers, cardigans and coat or worn under dresses or men’s shirt. Paired, more often than not, either with converse shoes or chunky heels and ankel boots. I think we might be seeing a few floral leggings this spring that is when the sun decides to show itself.
