I haven’t had the time to post many outfit posts lately so I thought I would share a few pictures from one night last week and combine it with a small trend that seems to be popping up everywhere; Autumn draping. I decide to this as when the three of us got together I seemed to be the only not draped from head to toe. Now all the dresses I seem to be attracted to for autumn seem to be draped in one way or the other.

Funnily enough in the first collage, all of their dresses and skirts come from stylestalker something that I had not calculated but I do have to admit they have some amazing wrapped dresses and skirts. I especially have a huge crush on this particular dress.

Fantastic! Now this is one collaboration I will look forward to and I (for the first time) might just stand in a queu and battle my way around the rest of the fashion lovers to get my hands on a piece of lanvin. Then again, I wil have to wait and see if anything from this collection catches my eye. What do you guys think about this collaboration?

Now here is a trend that you parents are probably praying they never see you wear. Henry Holland’s ‘trompe l’oeil’ suspender tights took an a life of their own and were first spotted on British rock girls such as Pixie Geldorf, the Saturdays… and then the bloggers got their hands on them and that was that, suspenders were back in. I say suspenders because some, more daring than others, sported the real thing and wore them casually as day wear. Personally, I feel that some thing should stay in the bedroom or maybe I am just not too daring enough?!

Anyway, Henry Holland is a master when it comes to tights (special post on HH and his playful tights soon) and I don’t know if I get (and like) them because I am British but I know not to take these little things too seriously and I actually quite like them and think them playful and flirty without screaming ‘go back home and put some clothes on woman’. Even though this is not a new trend and has been around for a year or so, I thought the 1st of September was the perfect day to celebrate the steady come back of tights.

When there is a successful trend, there are copycats and Topshop came up with suspender tights of their own also adopted by our favorite trend setters. These are even more playful and less litteral than HH’s version. But nevertheless, still only for the daring.

Here is the second edition of “Snapped, Stored & Shared” with some few ideas of where to go in Brussels. Enjoy!

1. Simply heaven, even more so due to the fact that to find a shop in Brussels that sells reese’s is like
finding the golden goose (Nail polish is from Sephora).

5. the drop of temperature we have been faced with lately sadly indicates the end of summer but
it also means the leather trousers can be dug up again. These are from h&M (last year)

6. You might remember my post on Delvaux (the Belgian maroquinerie), well here is the lundi
bag from their new collection ‘Toujours’ in royal blue. Love the colour and the leather is divine,
my only problem is that my wallet is way too big sadly for this bag. (both gifted)

Our beloved H&M came out with a few pieces that were clearly inspired by two great names in fashion; McQueen and Givenchy. The most striking pieces were the crazy black & white prints that were seen on trousers, leggings, dresses and jackets. These quickly become bloggers favorites. And even though I looked like a complete fool in the dress, I still think it looks amazing on these girls, but there is no question that you need the legs to go with that dress.

However, as much as I like this collection it does leave me a bit perplex as to the extent to which high street shops such as H&M and zara have started copying big house name. They no longer seem to even try and disguise the fact that they are simply making a cheaper and more affordable version of what designers showed during previous Fashion weeks. I actually don’t mind it as I believe that fashion really shouldn’t be so ridiculously expensive but then on the other hand the fact the high streets brands are simply loosing all imagination and creativity and just ‘copy – pasting’ with a hint of difference is quite worrying. Any thoughts?

I have had this stripped American Apparel dress fro a couple of year and have only worn it a bunch of times, but for some reason I just can’t seem to get rid of this particular one. When my friend asked me to borrow it and jumped to the occasion and thought it was a bout time I did a post on this dress. It has nothing really special about it appart from the fact that I find it really expensive for what it is. However, I do love a dress with good pockets and I have to say it is a great dress to be worn over and over again (and through all seasons) without screaming ‘this is the hundredth time I have been worn the same way’.

Hermès, J’aime mon carré Paris/london/New-York

After Burberry street style attempt to bring youth back into their classic trench, it is Hermès’s turn to do something similar. I actually like the result and can’t wait to be at the “j’aime mon carré” Hermès party in Septembre. Until then I thought I would share their video with you, what do you think of their youthful approach to the classic silk Hermès scarf?

… rain and with rain comes… umbrellas, wellington boots and (this fall/winter) …Fedoras! I am a huge sucker for big scarf and hats, any hats will do. I had been on the hunt for the perfect velvet Fedora for this fall, not to small but not to huge as not to look like you have just come off the boot from Mexico. I found mine in H&M, Fashion Against Aids collection (sneak peak in previous post, HERE).

As always, the Fedoras were first spotted on the catwalks, and in the recent add campaigns, and the girls from the blogosphere have hopped on the trend again, and this time so did I. First up are my three favorite ways to wear it, plain black and white outfit like Elin, very laid back and cozy like Karen and brown with the ‘borrowed’ from the boyfriend’ look like Golestaneh.

Finally, my nude Aldo Perusse plexi heels arrived. It was an ordeal to get them to Brussels, and I would love to able to say it was worth the wait. However, all I have been able to do so far is prance around the house in them (looking kind of mad) and I managed a quick walk, what with the never ending rain that is falling down on us. This being said, with every bit of sunshine we have left, there is no doubt I will be wipping these heels out. Anyway, here are a few pictures I managed to snap today, following in the spirit of plexi and transparant heels, as seen previously. As I am writing this post, my new heels are nicely tucked back in their box away from any possible sight of rain.

“Snapped & stored” is a new concept for this blog. I had the idea a while back and had it thanks to a fellow French blogger. The concept is simple, I will share with you once a week, all the pictures and snapshots taken with my Blackberry during that same week. Hope you will enjoy the new concept!

Indeed, this summer it was all about transparency and what better way to play the game than with plastic. It was all about the plexi Prada and Fendi shoes, the plastic Hermes totes and anything else plastic and transparent. I am not so sure how I feel about parading around with a transparent bag with all of its content on display for the world to see. However I am loving the plexi shoe trend, ad not just a bit. So here goes for a trend post full of transparency and plastic and many other details I have to share with you.

First up, are our beloved swedish girls you seem to have adopted the Prada plexi shoe immediately and have done so to perfection, I think I prefer the Prada shoe with the black strip to the white of silver one.

Christine does some pretty bloody amazing DIY when it comes to shoes, and these DIY Fendi plexi heels are no exception. So I urge if you don’t already know her to check out her blog.

I was so glad when I stumbled upon Arielle’s blog, Something Navy as I soon discovered these little beauties on her feet from none other than ALdo. Which I immediately ordered and got a friend to bring them back from the UK for me. Shock horror when I soon discovered that the left foot was a EU size 37 and the right a  size 38, not good Aldo. Those of you who follow me on Twitter might remember the saga, anyway the second (and hopefully in the right sizes, both feet please) pair is on its way to me this weekend. Anyway if anyone has one foot smaller than the other ie the left, and normally wears a 3! let me know and i can sell you these puppies if you are interested.

Met up last night with another fellow Belgium blogger, Valérie (who blogs all things Fashion, beauty and travel over at  Skynet Lili) over at at place called Cook & Book. The evening was a huge succes, and the place was just amazing. Another great new trend that I wil be trying soon; wearing my AA circle scarf as a skirt. Yes it seems to be all the rage right now and I have to say I am loving it. For those of you who follow me on a regular basis, you know by now that I don’t often (actually probably) never post pictures of celebrities. Indeed, this blog is dedicated solely to the creations and the trends of the blogosphere, however some of these trends, if not most do start from inspirations that bloggers take from the catwalks, fashion shows and editorials, and this trens is no exception. Indeed, this tulip shape of skirt was first spotted on Dree Hemingway at the Twilight saga première. Like most of you, I loved the simplicity of the outfit and I thought the skirt was just perfect, I loved it even more once I discovered that Dree had performed a DIY of herself and had literally just wrapped her little ‘derrière’ in a scarf. I am thinking f trying this look on Friday night, fingers crossed it doesn’t rain and I might just be abe to take a few pictures, that is if the whole thing is not a disaster.
