Lancel Opening Party

So last night, I was invited to the opening of the new Lancel shop (blvd Waterloo in Brussels), and what a party! Surrounded by bags, including the new Brigitte Bardot bag which I was very keen to see for myself, fun and charming people, champagne and food, and the sound of Beatrice Ardisson "aux platines", I had an amazing evening and it was just the mini break I needed.

A huge thank you to Sophie Carré for the lovely invitation

Stèv and Dorothée (other Belgian bloggers on the scene Sophie, Geoffroy, Valentine)

Sophie Carré herself and Didier

Candice's gorgeous zara clutch and never without her blackberry

The famous painting of the BB bag, that will be present at every Lancel shop opening, painted by Victor Spahn

Beatrice Ardisson

The BB girls

The Brigitte Bardot Bag, just like BB it is feminim but still very playful. Any thoughts?I would go for the all black version personally or my other favourite is the premier flirt in red croco

One last kiss and one last glass of champagne and we will be off

and it ended with the Lancel goodie bag and ...

a signed replica of the 'travelling' painting of the BB bag (signed by man himself, Victor Spahn)Why he decided to hand me this is a question still unanswered, but you won't hear me complaining

Not what it seems

I have realised over the weekend that lately I have had so much to share with you that it has been a long time since I have done a 'Trend post' (which is really at the heart of my blog). Zara seems to be very good lately has producing very 'wanted' pieces especially with the blogger community and their 'imitation sheepskin skirt', otherwise know as Zara's look alike schoolgirl faux leather skirt, is no exception. I actually really like this new take on the 'original' pencil leather skirt and the shape make it that much more wearable. Here, it is seen paired with a light cream jumper or with a shirt to play on the schoolgirl element of the skirt.

Sources: Sophie, Golestaneh and Liz

You can get your hands on this skirt from Zara's online shop (now shipping to Belgium too) HERE.

P.S: Thank you to all of those who sent me emails over the weekend concerning the article in the (paper version) Vif Weekend. Your kind words were all very much appreciated, so thank you for all your support. I have to say I was delighted to see that I was sharing the page with Stèv (whom I meet recently and is just an amazing, creative and fun person), author and creator of the blog Monsieur/Mademoiselle
