I was lucky enough to be invited last Thursday to the Miele catwalk, but even better was the lovely invitation we got from Inge Onsea- the brain and inspiration behind the Belgian brand Essentiel – to spend the afternoon with her backstage. I always find these kind of invitations fun and interesting, but this time it was so much more than simply ‘interesting’, it was truly a wonderful experience. Inge and Tom – the other creative genius behind Essentiel – are the perfect duo, bouncing ideas off of each other and complementing one another to perfection. They are all smiles and giggles, and are both clearly the inspiration behind this youthful and colourful brand catering to the carefree woman. And check out those green and red leather jacket that they did for this F/W 2011 collection, they are simply gorgeous.
PS: Inge is the gorgeous lady in the bright yellow coat and Tom is the one sporting the great bomber jacket.
As always Filles à papa were amazing, Bshirt was fun and laid-back and Lenny Leleu was my discovery of the evening.
A huge thank you to Miele for putting on a wonderful show, to Oona -especially Marie – for always thinking of me, and to Inge and Tom for the openness and free spirit.
