Stromae - who's real name is actually Paul Van Haver - is probably one of the best things to come out of Belgium lately. His tunes are catchy and the lyrics invoke topics such as divorce, unemployment, dept and the financial crisis. His music is realistic and that is exactly what he intends it to be. Recently the NY Times did a great piece about him and his work, definitely worth a read if you have five minutes to spare.
