Eliza Doolittle, Pack up

One of my friends posted this video on Facebook this week and I really wanted to share it with you for various reasons. Firstly, and most obviously, what an incredible voice. Secondly, I like the idea of how simple the song is and how natural it sounds. Don't get me wrong I am the first to love all the Lady Gagas and Rihannas out there but its nice to here such a nice voice, and one that is not overpowered by all the modifications  technology has now allowed us to do.

I wish you all a fantastic New Year Eve and I will see you all (hopefully) in 2011!!

Best wishes,

Toni

Plaisirs d'hiver

It was great to go back to Brussels for Christmas and spend some time with the family and my friends, and basically just catch up on all that I missed. I meet up with my blonde counterpart and we spent the afternoon walking around 'Plaisirs d'hiver', but mostly we ate and drank Gluwijn (Vin chaud). There is something very festive and inviting about Christmas markets and for some reason people always seem happy which was great considering the gloomy weather we have been having.

I am now back in Paris to end 2010 the same way I started it; great food, amazing people and an overall fun evening!

Cambrigde satchel love

Along with the very sought after the Alexa Mulberry and the Prouenza Schouler PS1 and now 11, came the revival of the satchel. Even though Mulberry and Prouenza Schouler both revamped and revived the satchel it was very refreshing to come across these original Cambrigde satchels, whom by the looks of it seem to be having a success of their own. Don't get me wrong the PS11 has my eyes rolling to the back of my head, then again so does the price. We seem to often forget that most of today's trends were inspired by yesterday's fashion, so why not go with the original once in a while, and save a penny while you are at it?

I am really loving both the 11' Green and purple (and now also the mustard) satchels (they come in four different sizes 11'- 13'- 14'- 15' and a variety of colours).  A certain selection is sold on Asos but you can also purchase them on the website.
