Shoemint

If you received my first newsletter (wich as you can see will definitely not be weekly, and for those of you who have asked I am getting my act together so that is comes to you every month packed with great stuff and fashion filled), you will have remembered me talking about the great concept Jewelmint. Well, I am really excited to say that today is the launch of Shoemint - a collaboration between Rachel Bilson, Steve Madden and Nicole Chavez. I find the idea great, unique and innovative, and the shoes full of charm. I like "stealing" styling ideas from real people and other bloggers, and not so much from actresses and other Hollywood stars, as I feel the gap between their world and mine is just too big. But I have to say Rachel Bilson is that one exeption. However, it is a shame that they are only delivering to the US at the moment, hopefully this will change, and soon.

Also, if you are not doing so yet, watch her new TV series, Hart of Dixie!

The flower shirt

//WEARING// Zara jeans (A/W 2010) Zara shirt and blazer (A/W 2011) Mango boots Swatch watch

Here is the third outfit post this week. I said I would be experimenting more with patterns and here is the result. I am a bit sad that this shirt is already everywhere online, but I have to say that the checked blazer is really perfect. I would probably wear it more often with skinny jean sor black jeans rather than these flared trousers. I wanted to wish my American readers a wonderful thanksgiving and a crazy black Friday :)

My cape and I

ph/Pierre De Greef

//WEARING// Asos OTK boots Zara cape and hat YesStyle black dress

So I tried a very different look than what I am use it, more fun fun than anything else. When out and about Brussels last saturday with Pierre, we came across this lovely and quite different cape/poncho in Zara. So not me, but we really wanted to see how it could work. I actually love the end result, and I think the pictures look great if you don't mind me saying. So even thought it is not my typical outfit post, I hope you enjoy it nonetheless. Stepping out of your comfort zone once in a while is actually quite good fun!

Mina Art jacket

ph/ Cyrielle

//WEARING// Asos boyfriend jeans Zara cashmere jumper (S/S 2010) Zara boots (A/W 2011) Min Art jacket/cardigan c/o Mina Art H&M scarf (old) Red bag as seen here and here DIY woven bracelets (inspo DIY here)

Another great Sunday spent working, finishing a couple of DIY projects, and spending the afternoon window shopping with Cyrielle. She introduced me to a great little concept store in Brussels, that is coincidentally (or not) also open on Sundays - Graphie Sud.  We went to Café de la presse again for a muffin/cupcakes pit stop, and shared our weekly stories. I can't wait to show you tomorrow's post; think Mexico, ponchos and alpagas :)

P.S: I have been receiving a lot of delands about my bracelets, I will post a DIY some time this week (I promise) and maybe sell a few as a lot of you have asked if I plan to make some to sell. Hadn't thought of that yet, but why not.
