Fussy jumpers & platforms

This was one of the outfits I was wearing this weekend in Brussels. Also, sadly this was taken hours before my new lens broke into three pieces. Thus explaining why they are a bit more blurry than wanted. So I guess that is on my to do list before I leave for St Tropez on Friday. A very basic outfit and I can't believe I had to pull out a wool sweater out of my closet in the middle of July. Hopefully the weather will get better.

That is a wrap

I haven't had the time to post many outfit posts lately so I thought I would share a few pictures from one night last week and combine it with a small trend that seems to be popping up everywhere; Autumn draping. I decide to this as when the three of us got together I seemed to be the only not draped from head to toe. Now all the dresses I seem to be attracted to for autumn seem to be draped in one way or the other.

//WEARING// Jeans: H&M super squin (new obsession right now) Black transparent shirt: H&M Black top: Zara

Here are a few bloggers sported wearing the wrapped and draped  trend to perfection. Funnily enough in the first collage, all of their dresses and skirts come from stylestalker something that I had not calculated but I do have to admit they have some amazing wrapped dresses and skirts. I especially have a huge crush on this particular dress.

Snapped, Stored & Shared (#1)

"Snapped & stored" is a new concept for this blog. I had the idea a while back and had it thanks to a fellow French blogger. The concept is simple, I will share with you once a week, all the pictures and snapshots taken with my Blackberry during that same week. Hope you will enjoy the new concept!

1. The sales, fun times? Zara is sure as hell making sure it is as difficult as possible.

2. H&M Mickey baseball cap

3. I only left with the losse blue tee

4. COS jumper (new collection)

5. It might be August but Brussels sure as hell doesn't care, out with the sunnies and in with the Fedoras (H&M FAA) and scarfs.

6. A lovely gift from one of my readers Nathalie and her mom Irenka. Irenka Kudlicki, designs jewelry, and has some amazing pieces. Check out her Etsy store HERE. Thank you again foryour kind words and the amazing gift, i have now been wearing it for a week :)

7. My 'oh so'  pretty back seat passengers (a present from the 'oh so' kind boyfriend)

8. A very old but very gorgeous vintage dress, probably more antique actually than vintage.

Meouwww

Sources: Jen, Punky-B and Mode Junkie

So cats from different countries might 'meaouw' differently but one thing in the blogosphere is now consistent when you see a 'meaouw', more often than not, it is now associated to Miu Miu's latest collection. One collection that the bloggers have being going mad about, the platform satin shoes, the collars, the broches and most of all the kitty and swallow print. One Miu Miu inspired dress that I have been seing lately on every street corner (quite literally) is the Zara cat print dress. More over, after meeting the lovely jen from StyleCrusader sporting this cute little piece I knew then and there what my next trend post was going to be.

Three accessories (or ways to wear this dress if you wish) really caught my eye. Firstly, I love the idea of wearing stripes with this dress, either under when the weather is, well crap british weather that is very undecided like Jen or over in the form of a cardigan like Mel. I really like the idea of mixing prints and it is one hot trend for the summer. Secondly, wearing the dress with clogs seems to work for the girls and if definitely works for me. Indeed, why not work two trends at the same time, like Jen (yes her again, no I am not obsessed), Iris and Emily. Plus it really gives the dress a certain extra charm. Thirdly, a smile is the best accessory of them all. This dress screams 'please don't take me too seriously' even more so when paired with clogs and mixing prints, so no frowning ladies! Well, I'm off to go and cry outside my zara as they don't sell this cute little piece anymore and I'm stuck on campus for the newt two weeks to study for my exams.
