Navy blue&Black

I spent last Thursday in Hospital for various reasons with which I will certainly not bore you. When I was younger and I got sick my dad use to always go out and buy me something that he knew would put a smile on my face, a doll, a Barbie, biscuits  and chocolat (just about anything would do the trick). It looks like this tradition has been taken over to some extent by my adorable boyfriend who came back from Paris on Friday with the 'The Kooples' coat I had been eyeing for some time.  I simply love the navy blue and black combo and all the different textures the coat has to offer. Anyway, I am now the proud owner of what my father called a 'very sensible coat', and a ton of chocolat :)

So a special thank you to all those who are always looking out for me and looking after me!

2011 buys (part 1)

My philosophy for 2011, when it comes to my shopping will be 'buy less, buy better'. Coincidently this is perfect as I will no have much time to do any shopping during the next 5-6 months. I will be doing less H&M'ing and Zara'ing and will be more focused on finding interesting, beautiful and 'unique' pieces. I thought I would share with you a couple of the pieces I am currently eyeing and some of the new names I have recently discovered. I guarantee that most of these will not have your banker ringing you up and asking if have suddenly found a job or been recently promoted (well not all of the pieces anyway) Enjoy!

1. Silk navy blue blazer with glitter lining from the up and coming Belgian Brand Filles à Papa 2. Heimstone bag from Shop Je Ne Sais Quoi (while you are there check out the new Yvonne Yvonne Popey purse, a pure delight)   3. Love ring from Lush Jewelry - Jordan Askill heart ring from the New Guard - trio of ring from C. Larose available soon online or at Glorybox in Brussels   4. Fluffy jacket from Storets 5. Full Blooded Swatch watch in 'Champagne' colour  6. 11' Cambridge satchel in this gorgeous deep purple

Les Halles

For some strange reason, Paris under the snow makes wearing my faux fur that much more pleasant. I promised you a 'real' outfit post and here it is. These were taken just as we were leaving Paris last week.

I was just thinking about my first ever outfit post and it happened to be my NYE outfit last year. Indeed, that was the first time ever my readers could put a face to my blog. What a year 2010 has been, I meet some amazing people (virtually and in reality), went to some incredible shop openings and parties and was faced with opportunities I never dreamed off. Thank you all for following the blog but also for being the most amazing active readers!

Rue des Rosiers

I spent my Sunday in my old neighbourhood in Paris, Le Marais. I had forgotten just how great this part of Paris was, especially on a Sunday afternoon. Wearing my 'sensible boots' again, they look very similar to the Acne Pistol boots and are only a fourth of the price and so far they have proven to be quite a good and sensible buy.

Just before Christmas I met up with fellow blogger Slanelle, and we had a blast. Here is the New Year video she made with members of the Hypeed team. she asked me if I didn't mind participation so we film a quick interview and my New Year wishes there and then in the Halles. I look completely hysterical, so enjoy
